Best Taco Stand in Melaque

In Melaque, on your Mexico Vacation, you have a choice of numerous taco stands. Pedro’s has always been our favourite. Located just off the main jardin this family-run taco stand offers generous tacos, quesadillas, cold beer and happy service. 

Taco’s served from street-side stands are a staple of every village along the Costa Alegre. Each has its own style, usually most apparent in the homemade salsas and tortillas.  Handmade tortilla’s make the taco, if they aren’t making the tortillas to order, keep walking.

No trip to Melaque, Mexico would be complete without sampling the delights from a local taco stand. Ask any local where to find “taco alley” and you’ll have your pick from a half a dozen stands. These are nightly treats, most stands don’t open until 6:00 pm and they stay open until 10:00ish. 

Pedro’s has been a Melaque staple for generations. They serve taco’s asada (grilled beef), chicken, lengua (tongue) and my favorite quesadilla with chorizo. Enjoy a couple taco’s, a quesadilla and a cold beer all for under $4 bucks! Talk about a true Mexico vacation, beach during the day, and tacos and beer at night!
